Committees in the Guild
Membership on a particular committee is a one-year commitment. Committees are to report their monthly activity, as necessary, to the 2nd Vice President.
Archivist
Responsible for acquiring, saving, and maintaining all Public Relations information and documentation relating to the Guild, Gallery and Members. Coordinate with the Public Relations/Marketing committee to collect and maintain Guild information for archival records.
Jenna Gianni
Brain Freeze Coordinator
The Guild's main charity event of the year, held the first Saturday of August. The chair oversees the planning and implementation of this event with their committee and the chosen charity. Coordinate with the Public Relations/Marketing committee on advertising this event.
Class Coordinator
Coordinates the registration and logistics for the classes given by the Guild: Take a Turn at the Wheel, and Chardonnay and Clay.
Community Outreach Chairperson
Charged with seeking out events, shows, exhibitions and projects that the Guild can participate in and initiate that would benefit members and further our stated mission. (i.e. In the Street, Festival of the Arts, participation/support of fund raising events, etc.)
Esther Murphy
Downtown Frederick Partnership Liaison
Attends and Coordinates gallery activities with the DFP, attending DFP meetings and supplying listings for the DFP brochure.
Renu Bhat
Frederick Arts Council Liaison
Attends FAC meetings.
Steve Yarnall
Gallery Events Chairperson
Coordinates First Saturday and other gallery events.
Grant Coordiator
Responsible for applying for grants for educational purposes and arranging grant events.
Annamarie Poole
Hospitality Chairperson
Responsible for organizing food and supplies for monthly meetings and guild activities, also, obtaining pertinent permits.
Membership Chairperson
Responsible for keeping track of memberships and related forms and dues, compiling membership lists. Also, recruiting of new members.
Steve Yarnall
Operations Manager
Responsible for gallery supplies, checking gallery bios and sending reminders to members.
Catalina Chiquillo
Programs Chairperson
Responsible for monthly programs at meetings, field trips, workshops and any miscellaneous member programs. Committee is chaired by the 1st Vice-president.
Rick Moore
Public Relations/Marketing Chairperson
Responsible for all publicity — including but not limited to Guild Newsletter, images, website, creation of printed materials, press releases and other public relations, distribution of printed material, maintenance of customer email lists and social media. Also includes developing and maintaining marketing materials to support the Guild and Gallery activities. This committee needs separate individuals to support/manage the different aspects of our social media interface (i.e. Guild webpage, Facebook, Instagram, email).
Judi Neckritz
In charge of posting to the Guild Facebook page, and monitoring/responding to comments.
Pam Berry
In charge of posting to the Guild Instagram account, and monitoring/responding to comments.
