Karen Grossman is currently an adjunct professor of art at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland, after having taught art for over 30 years in Maryland public schools. Her functional and sculptural work is an outgrowth of her involvement in the graduate ceramic arts program at Hood College. Currently, texture is an integral element of her work, as it allows others to have a more tactile relationship with her stoneware and porcelain creations.
